Danica’s 3 Year Photo Session {Cedarburg, WI Photographer}

It was so wonderful meeting three-year-old Danica a little while back, and it was refreshing to photograph her spontaneous and silly personality. Her dress matched perfectly with the theme of her photo session and we were even able to fit in a few shots with her little brother Parker, who I’ve also had the pleasure of photographing. One special thing about Danica’s session was that we ended it with a few photos including balloons, and then afterward she let them go in remembrance of a family member which they do every year. I thought that was a great idea, and I’m glad I could capture it. Enjoy!

Peter’s 2 Year Photo Session {Another Year Gone By} Grafton, WI Children Photographer

I can’t believe how quickly another year has passed and that it was time for Peter’s two year photo session. I vividly remember him decked out in Elmo gear and cake flying on his first birthday, and now he’s another year older, still just as cute, and even more of a charmer! He was a ton of fun to photograph and I simply can’t get enough of his imagination. Our photo session even needed to take a three minute break for him to chat with daddy on his imaginary cell phone – precious! I think I captured his playful and inquisitive personality, and I can’t wait to see him continue to grow.

Smash the Cake {Peter’s First Birthday}

“Smash the cake” parties, or a child’s first birthday, is always a fun party to attend because you get to see pure excitement and joy (and not to mention a serious sugar rush) come over a one year old at his or her very first birthday celebration. It’s also a great way for adults to vicariously live through a child and watch them mash a cake to bits.

Last weekend, I got the opportunity to celebrate with Peter and his family as he turned one. The Elmo themed party was complete with family, friends, great food, a pile of presents to tear open, a beautiful Elmo cake, and a bowling pin signed by the crowd with well-wishes to Peter. This was fitting as the location was at a bowling venue. And what was Peter sporting? A cute red shirt with his name on it and some Elmo shoes, styled by his mom of course who planned a very memorable first birthday party.
