I recently had Joey and his big brother Sammy in my studio to celebrate him turning one! I photographed him when he was just a little newborn and now here he is as the playful and happy, wispy-haired cutie before me. Couldn’t get enough of their giggles and I can just see these two concocting a plan or two together down the road….enjoy!
Carlie turned one recently and we thought it would be a great idea to take her and her sister down the sidewalks of Cedarburg, WI for her photo session. We found lots of cute places to stop along the way and the girls found a bridge to run around barefoot on, which made for some really great moments. I think those are my favorite types of shots too– happy candid faces you just can’t plan for. I also loved the brick buildings as a backdrop, and Carlie had no problem flashing me some adorable smiles while sitting on a vintage suitcase. And this first photo is simply great timing and a sweet little pose most likely followed by the decision to jump up and chase her sister. Love it.
I met up with one year old Quinn on the beach for the first part of his photo session and it was great seeing him explore the sand and water. Once he got the hang of the squishy ground, it was time to run around and look adorable…which was easy for this little man! Part two was at the park, and I was able to snap a photo of mom and dad asking him, “How big is Quinn? Soooo big!” He had a good time I think, and that’s how I want my “little clients” to remember photo-shoot day.
It’s been pretty amazing to see Cohen grow from the sleepy little newborn I photographed back in August of last year, to the smiley one year old he is today. It truly doesn’t feel like one year has gone by, but these little ones have a tendency to remind us of how quickly it all goes. On the day of our photo session, he was excited and ready to go. Cohen climbed, stepped and hopped up on everything in his path. He was pretty entertaining, and once we got the balloons into the mix, my camera was doing overtime just to capture every cute expression. Happy one year Cohen!
