I had the pleasure of recently meeting and photographing two little ones, Allyson who’s five and Tyler who recently turned one. It was so great to get to know both and capture their little personalities. Allyson was very sweet and did wonderfully smiling for me, and Tyler was everything you love about a one year old: smiley, giggling and full of energy. It was a lot of fun and it was lovely photographing them together to see that brotherly sisterly interaction. Those are some of my favorite shots – enjoy!
I had the honor of meeting baby Wyatt at just 11 days old and he was such a wonderful little man to meet and photograph. He seemed so content once we got started and mom and dad had the great idea to include dad’s firefighter protective gear, which made for a great shot. Wyatt had no problem with that and fit so neatly in dad’s helmet. We were also able to get a few other family members involved who happened to be in town, so the timing of Wyatt’s session was perfect. Mom and dad did great in the photos and helping out, and I can’t wait to see them all again soon for his next session!
Last week I met Natalee and photographed her, her big sister as well as mom and dad, which was a lot of fun. Natalee is the first session I booked since being back after having our son, who allowed me to get some decent sleep the night before, so I was only moderately sleep deprived. Natalee was very curious about all the props mom brought, including some that were Christmas themed, but she couldn’t keep those peepers open for long. That’s when my job started and she did great sporting a few cute headbands in her birthday suit.
Dad is a military man, so we set up this photo which will be a nice keepsake for the family.
I turned around and out the window I found dad and big sis playing outside while Natalee was wrapping up. Time for the family photo!
I had the honor of meeting one very sweet little 14-day-old girl, Carlie, and she did such a great job at her newborn session. She greeted me with open, but sleepy eyes, and within minutes was fast asleep. She stayed that way for the entire session without making a peep, so that made switching out headbands and baskets super easy. Her tiny features make her irresistible to photograph, and I thought I should share this moment just before the session got started.
Carlie looking at her fist with wonder, and then within moments her eyes closed and she was asleep, maybe dreaming of just how that little hand works. Enjoy!
It’s been pretty amazing to see Aeden grow from when I took his newborn photos to just a week ago at his six month photo session. He’s growing so tall and developing his own little personality, which made it fun and entertaining to photograph him as we discovered what got the giggles out of him and what didn’t. We got some great photos with mom and dad outside, too. Overall the session was a blast, and I can’t wait to see this little man again when I have to actually chase him around for photos, which won’t be long I’m sure.
