I recently had Joey and his big brother Sammy in my studio to celebrate him turning one! I photographed him when he was just a little newborn and now here he is as the playful and happy, wispy-haired cutie before me. Couldn’t get enough of their giggles and I can just see these two concocting a plan or two together down the road….enjoy!
Paige, who recently turned three, was more than thrilled to get outside and enjoy a beautiful spring day and get her pictures taken. I loved watching her bounce around from flowers to rocks to trees and onto the next exciting thing. This little girl was excited about it all. Picking up dandelions and then of course dropping them so she could then pick up more was on the agenda, and she looked so adorable doing it. Paige’s mom even brought a bubble maker which made for some great shots. What’s better than a child with bubbles? This session was truly a fun one – enjoy this playful preview!
I recently photographed a little three-year old, Miley, and from the moment she stepped out of the car I knew I was in for a treat as she sported the most precious outfits and adorable smile, one after another. It was my job just to keep up and she did wonderfully in front of the camera. The weather couldn’t have cooperated more, too. Miley’s parents were there as well to join in the fun, so we got several lovely family photos. Enjoy!
“Smash the cake” parties, or a child’s first birthday, is always a fun party to attend because you get to see pure excitement and joy (and not to mention a serious sugar rush) come over a one year old at his or her very first birthday celebration. It’s also a great way for adults to vicariously live through a child and watch them mash a cake to bits.
Last weekend, I got the opportunity to celebrate with Peter and his family as he turned one. The Elmo themed party was complete with family, friends, great food, a pile of presents to tear open, a beautiful Elmo cake, and a bowling pin signed by the crowd with well-wishes to Peter. This was fitting as the location was at a bowling venue. And what was Peter sporting? A cute red shirt with his name on it and some Elmo shoes, styled by his mom of course who planned a very memorable first birthday party.
